I know lot of the brands that I love and buy, the types of things our family purchases and the online places that I shop at. I’m sure that many of the things that I am interested in are also applicable to many of you, the foods you eat and the products you use. But not necessarily.

So what I would like to know is…

What about you? What do you buy and what kinds of deals do you want to see?

  • Specific brands of your favorite products
  • Types of items that you buy (this can be more general, like fish oil, organic canned tomatoes, natural toothpaste)
  • Online stores that you shop at (places to purchase foods, but also places that you purchase supplements, beauty products, cleaning supplies, etc.)
  • Stores that you go to and want to see store deals/coupon matchups for (Whole Foods, Safeway, Target, etc.)
  • General household goods and basic food/pantry supplies that you would like to save money on (including paper goods, toiletries, baking soda, etc.)

Thank you for sharing! Your answers will help to shape the deals that I look for and share with you, and to make sure that the deals I post about are really helping you to save on the things that matter to you!

Hi, I’m so glad that you asked this question! Some of the specific brands: King Arthur Flour, Annie Organics, Traditional Medicinals Tea, and Toms’ of Maine. The types of products that I struggle to find coupons are very good quality canned fish, walnut oil, and grains. I don’t have a Whole Foods nearby and would prefer to give my business to locally owned health foods stores or coops anyway.
    Thank you!!

  2. Sarah says:

Anything that is Weston Price foundation approved. All of the vendors that they recommend. I would love to see their sales.

  3. Eva says:

I would love to see more chances to get samples. I love to try new things before I buy them… I would also liketo see more coupon codes since I have to order a lot of my stuff online caseu I can’t find it in my area.
    Thanks!!! I love your sight!

I would love to find good online places since that would apply to everyone – even those outside of your local area or across another country (like me!). Also, large chains like Target would be great. We don’t have a Whole Foods in our area, so that is why I’m looking for online food that is a good deal and high quality. Thanks! Oh, and deals with coupon match-ups are ALWAYS welcome.

So far I am really enjoying this website. I purchase my meat, milk, eggs and produce from a local farmer and buy the rest of our groceries from Trader Joes or a local supermarket. I have the option to go to Whole Foods but it’s too expensive so I would be interested in where you purchase items online.

  6. Kitter says:

Nordic Naturals supplements. Organic/”happy” produce and meats are my biggest challenges.
    Thanks!

  7. Nature’s Sunshine vitamins and supplements. The herb ALJ in liquid or powder form. Herbal supplements and oils, essential oils. Mineral makeup like you have done in the past. Plus, anything else. I have really enjoyed your new site! You are doing a great job. (-:

  8. Also, I forgot to mention Toms’ of Maine, and coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter and other oils used to make soaps. Thanks!

  9. Stephanie says:

Thank you so much for all your work! We would love to know more about the where, how, and what of buying whole foods in bulk. How much of an item is reasonable, where are the best deals online, are there ever sales from bulk sellers? Also, deals on bulk storage containers, etc. Thanks!

I would mostly find online deals for organic and natural products the most helpful. I purchase what I can at local stores (supermarkets), grow a bit of my own produce, and shop our local farmer’s market in season. I don’t have a Whole Foods nearby, my nearest Target doesn’t carry much in the way of food, and my local natural foods market is ridiculously overpriced (e.g., $2.79 for a can of organic beans). So online would probably be the most helpful for me. Right now I buy some things from Amazon and some from Vitacost.

Please post any King Arthur flour coupons if you ever find any! Love their white whole wheat! Also Cascade Fresh dairy products. Love this new site!

    Hi,
I was getting emails from a few other coupon/deal blogs, but I found most of it was not usable for me. I did like to see deals on photo developing (i.e. free 8×10 at Walgreen’s, free photo stamps, etc.) and clothes (like cheap-o deals at Target). The only processed products we buy are things like salsa, spaghetti sauce, ketchup (things I would rather not make myself & I only buy organic). I never have coupons for these, and if I do they are for Whole Foods, who (unless you’re buying their generic brand) are more expensive than other places (I shop at Fred Meyer’s, a division of Kroger). I buy a lot of stuff from Azure & like hearing about special sales on items there. I shop online at Amazon a lot & it would be fun to know about any special deals on items there (I usually don’t buy food through them though). The items you listed (paper goods, toiletries, pantry staples) would be good also. :)

Thanks, Lisa! You’ll be happy to know that I have a blogger lined up to do monthly Azure deals for the site, and I will be doing a monthly Amazon natural grocery post as well. :)

I agree with all of the above, but I also would like an “alert” of some sort when a great FREE SHIPPING deal is out for all of the online sources that we use for WAPF.
I find that most of the online sources for coconut oil, grains, etc are cheaper online, but after the shipping it doesn’t work out to be such a great deal anymore. Somehow I always miss the free shipping times of year!

  14. Laura says:

I guess what would help me the most is cheap online sources of natural foods/products. We have a few independent health food stores here but no chains, so those deals won’t help me here. But everyone can order things online! :-)

  15. Jana says:

I would love to see more coupons for brands that are available in Canada, for all kinds of natural products but particularly for brands such as Ecover (dishsoap) and other eco-friendly cleaning products.

I agree with Heather, above; while online sources for coconut oil and other bulk products offer cheaper prices, after the shipping costs, the products end up actually being more expensive, particularly when Canadian customers get charged import duties. I wonder where Canadian natural shoppers can get such bulk products more locally without incurring costly shipping and customs charges (especially products such as raw honey and virgin coconut oil, which are heavy).

I just LOVE your new site! :)

  16. Jessica Deratany says:

The stuff used to make soaps.
    Online sites.
    Breadmaking things
    Yogurt making things

    Looove the site :)

  17. trisha says:

I’m loving this site! I really love the online deals. We live way out in the rural country and even in the city there’s just not much selection in stores. I find I can buy in bulk and do much better even with shipping (especially by the time I factor in my gas costs to drive to get the stuff).

Started the REAL foods about 2-3 months ago and WOW! can you say major difference in energy? Switched to the good oils, sugars and currently working on whole grains (takes some planning ahead). Next steps will be raw milk (currently switched to organic and tastes soooo much better) and then I’ll tackle the meat issue (we raise our own beef, but battling the ‘gotta give it some corn’ before butchering mentality).

Between our garden (1st one), Azure coop and our state food coop (and looking forward to when farmer’s markets start up), I’m buying hardly anything at the grocery store!
