I love looking at the deals that other bloggers score, but of course, much of it is products that I wouldn’t purchase myself.
I thought it may be helpful for those who are new to using coupons for a natural living, whole foods lifestyle to see what it can look like for someone else.
Here are some deals that I scored this week:
London Drugs
Melitta World Harvest Organic Fair Trade Coffee
On sale for $6.99 (reg. $8.99-12.99), after $2 coupon- $4.99
Cascades Enviro 12 Double Rolls Toilet Paper
On sale for $5.99 (reg. $7.99-9.99).
Used two $1.50/1 coupons from package, stacked with two $1/1 from Smart Source insert (May 15). Also had one $1/1 coupon from Safeway tear pad. Total $5.98 for 2 packages!
Superstore
I just happened upon this deal in the natural foods aisle. I prefer mint, but my hubby likes the fennel flavor.
Tom’s of Maine Toothpaste
Fennel flavor (only) was marked down from $4.99 to $1.99. After $1/1 coupon- $0.99
Nature’s Fare Market
**I have to put in a quick plug for this new natural foods market in Langley– their sale prices are excellent and they were very friendly about my coupons– they have definitely been added to my repertoire of stores to shop at! I will also be posting bi-monthly deal scenarios for Nature’s Fare.**
Seventh Generation Automatic Dishwashing Detergent
On sale for $4.99 (reg. $7.99). There was a $2.50 off coupon on one of the bottles, and I had planned to use a $1/1 any 7th Generation product as well, but the cashier kindly gave me the $2.50 off both. Total $2.49 each!
Knudsen Just Black Cherry Juice (we don’t usually buy juice, but I’m hoping to use this for either water kefir or to flavor homemade coconut milk ice cream!)
On sale for $2.99 (reg. $6.99-8.99). After $1/1 coupon- $1.99
Blue Diamond Nut-Thins (a treat for my gluten-free boy)
On sale for $2.49 (reg. $3.49). After $1/1 coupon- $1.49
Simply Natural Dressings (I usually make my own, but we’re moving and I barely have time to cook right now, so a bit of compromise is ok
![]()
On sale for $1.99 (reg. $3.99). After $0.50/1 coupon- $1.49 each
Organic Ripe Bananas
I pick up 5 bags, marked down to what I thought was $0.49 per lb, but at the register, I was only charged $0.49 per bag! I’m not sure if that was correct or not– I guess I’ll find out next time I go in. Either way, still a great deal for ripe organic bananas!
Now obviously, this isn’t exactly going to feed us for the week! Unless we were a family of monkeys, that is (and some could argue this point, but I digress…)
My purpose in showing you these deals is so that you can see how, although I am not saving particularly on much of the food that I buy, I am saving in other areas that helps to allow for more room in the rest of my food budget.
Cleaning supplies, toilet paper, toothpaste, and a few select food items all help to make it easier to plenty of purchase fresh produce, bulk organic grains, pastured chicken and eggs, etc.

What great deals! I love it when there are coupons on things I needed to buy anyway, it’s always a nice surprise.

THanks! I love the local deals as well…I’ll be sure to pass the site on to my friends who live nearby!
You rocked it!
Did you notice the 3.00 off wyb 3 of spectrum, arrowhead mills, imagine, etc. products on coupons.com?
Yes, and I was about to post it when the coupon disappeared!
As soon as I see it again, I’ll post it!
Looks good! I just discovered fair-trade, organic coffee in bulk bins at our Plum Market. They are only located in SE Michigan, but I thought I’d mention it in case anyone was interested.

Ooh, fair trade coffee in bulk? Good find!
I was able to get tons of organics last week. Many of them were FREE! I have not had a chance to post this weeks shopping trip, but here is a link to last weeks if anyone is interested. Some of the highlights were free Seventh Generation pantiliners, free Imagine organic soup, free Kiss My Face hand soap, and free Jason toothpaste for the kids. There was a lot more as well.

Looks like you got some great deals, Lorrie! I rarely get anything free (it’s mostly because coupons are still more limited in Canada and our prices are a bit higher in general), but it’s awesome that you can!
Thanks for posting these great deals! Since I live in the area as well, it is so helpful to see that there really are terrific deals to be had on natural products. Most of the time I despair because it costs so much to live here, and natural products are, of course, typically much more expensive than regular products. I do try my best to source the best possible prices on everything I buy, and I find that Whole Foods, Spud, and Ladybug Organics typically offer items that I would buy (all natural and organic) for sale on a frequent basis. I also buy the same paper products (Cascades) at IGA, as I have found they consistently have the best pricing of any place (regularly $11.99 for 24 double rolls), and they also sell Avalon Organics and Burt’s Bees products for much less than typical retail price. I am now inspired to keep an eye on London Drugs’ and Superstore’s sale flyers and also to start using coupons! Thanks again for posting these great deals and for inspiring us natural shoppers to keep on buying as naturally as possible while still saving as much as we can : )
I need to do some exploration at IGA and see how I can do there. London Drugs is my favorite because they allow price matching and coupon stacking, but they are more limited in their selection. Superstore is also good because they do price matching and they have a much greater selection, plus good prices in general. I don’t live near the Whole Foods (I’m in the Fraser Valley), but Nature’s Fare is a similar type of store for me. I’m also currently experimenting with organic delivery to see it I can make it work for me. The jury is still out on that one.
Thanks for doing this. I see everyone saving on things I would not purchase either, normally junk food. I am so happy there is a way to save on more healthier items now! Thanks for sharing!!

No problem.
That’s the point of this site- to show that it can be done!

You’re welcome, Denise! Glad you’re here!
Okay I just came across your site and I am super pumped because I live in the Fraser Valley too so I may just check out these same deals!!
Great idea for a site like this!
Here is a link to my shopping trip this week. I think I did pretty well.
